Restaurant window broken, kitchen ransacked

The front door window of Amalfi’s Restaurant, 298 Glen Ellyn Road, was reported shattered, and the kitchen and office area were ransacked at midnight June 4, according to police reports.

Damages were estimated at $550, police said.

Radar detector, iPods stolen from unlocked car

A radar detector and two iPods were reported stolen from an unlocked 1997 Chevy parked in Lot J of Stratford Square Mall between 5:30 and 7:15 p.m. June 5, according to police reports.

The items had a total estimated value of $900, police said.

Northlake man faces drug, traffic charges

Alex Zaborowski, 20, of Northlake was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disobeying a traffic-control device at 1 a.m. June 8 near the intersection of Army Trail Road and Creekside Drive, according to police reports.

Oxygen tank stolen from nursing home room

An oxygen tank valued at $960 was reported stolen at about noon June 9 from a patient’s room at West Suburban Care Center, 311 Edgewater Drive, according to police reports.

Glendale Heights man charged with assault

Michael D. Goodrich, 21, of 2320 Century Point Unit D, Glendale Heights, was charged with aggravated assault, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest at about 11 p.m. June 10 outside of Meijer, 130 S. Gary Ave., after he allegedly became combative with police officers. The officers reportedly approached Goodrich and a small group of people after they were seen dancing by a car and sliding across the trunk of a car that wasn’t theirs, according to police reports.

Several area residents face DUI charges

• Charles Brieschke, 19, 228 Garden Way, Bloomingdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 4:15 a.m. June 10 on Country Club Drive, according to police reports.

• Ralph Iurio, 57, of Schaumburg was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at about 1:30 a.m. June 12 near the intersection of Schick Road and Country Club Drive, according to police reports.

• Jamie Craig, 23, 335 Springhill Drive No. 300, Roselle, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage at about 1:30 a.m. June 13 near the intersection of Army Trail and Schmale Roads, according to police reports.

• Jeffery T. Sullivan, 47, of 154 Waters Edge Unit D, Glendale Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at about 2:30 a.m. June 14 near the intersection of Army Trail Road and Creekside Drive.

• Grant E. Paulsen, 26, of Bartlett was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage at about 2:45 a.m. June 14 near the intersection of Schick and Rosedale Roads.

GPS unit, satellite radio stolen from car

A portable Global Positioning System and a satellite radio receiver were reported stolen from a 2004 Ford parked in the 200 block of Royal Lane after the car’s rear driver’s-side window was reported smashed at about 9 a.m. June 18,  according to police reports.

Loss was estimated at $900, police said.

Jewelry reported stolen from Indian Lakes room

Several pieces of jewelry and a jewelry box were reported stolen at about 9 a.m. June 19 from the top of a desk in a guest room of Hilton Indian Lakes resort, 250 W. Schick Road, according to police reports.

The jewelry was estimated to be $18,200, police said.

Local man charged on outstanding warrant

Police said they took Curtis Jones, 2167 Leward Lane, Carol Stream, into custody at about 11:30 p.m. June 11 along the 700 block of Army Trail Road after they found he had an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Local teen charged with drinking alcohol

Jay Lenahan, 18, 766 Burning Trail, Carol Stream, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, resisting arrest and criminal trespass at about 2:30 a.m. June 6 along the 1000 block Of Evergreen Avenue, police said.

Wallet, cell phone taken from locker at Sports Hub

A resident reported someone took his wallet and cellular phone from a locker at about 4:30 p.m. June 14 at the Glendale Heights Sports Hub, 200 Civic Center Plaza.

The locker was secured, police said. 

Roselle

Wedding ring reported stolen from home

A resident of the 200 block of East Irving Park Road reported a wedding ring stolen from the home at about 9:45 p.m. June 10, possibly by a plumber who had done work there earlier in the day, according to police.

Car parked at train station burglarized

The passenger-side window of a car was smashed and a global positioning system was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Roselle train station, in the 500 block of East Irving Park Road, at about 2:45 p.m. June 10, according to police reports.

Home’s windows reported smashed

A resident of the 800 block of Sunrise Place reported several windows of their home smashed at about 11:15 a.m. June 16, according to police.

Damages were estimated at $300, police said.

Area residents face drunk driving charges

• Brian F. Hall, 27, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at about 1:15 a.m. June 18 at the intersection of West Irving Park and Nerge roads, according to police reports.

• Mantas Simoniutis, 28, of Carol Stream, was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop at about 3:30 a.m. June 18 near the intersection of West Bryn Mawr Avenue and Stafford Drive, according to police reports.

• Dereck P. Stancik, 39, of Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 12:45 a.m. June 19 near the intersection of Irving Park and Medinah roads, according to police reports.

• Brian J. Vimmer, 27, of Glendale Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 3:30 a.m. June 20 near the intersection of South Roselle Road and West Turner Avenue, according to police reports.
