Police are searching for a man that held up PL$ Loan Store Monday morning at 7300 Barrington Road in Hanover Park.
According to Hanover Park Deputy Chief Tom Cortese, the suspect in question is described as a black male in his 20s wearing a dark leather jacket, dark shirt and jeans with a protruding lip and bad teeth.
After the robbery, the suspect was last seen running behind businesses in the 1500 block of Irving Park Road, Cortese said.
None of the employees were injured during Monday’s incident. Several days earlier a Hanover Park man entered a Pay Day Loans store location that is located just one block away from PL$, and shot a female clerk in the forehead and stole $240 before fleeing on foot.
Admise Wilson, 33 of the 7600 block of Bristol Lane, was charged on Oct. 7 of first-degree murder, armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm, police said.
The 34-year-old woman survived the attack and was able to dial 911 to describe Wilson to police once they arrived. She was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates and remains in stable condition.
According to a PL$ employee on Tuesday, the employees present during Monday’s incident were relieved from work and said the schedule was rearranged to give them time off. He said he was unsure when they would return.
If anyone has information regarding the suspect, call Detective Hugo Villa at (630) 372-4411.
