Bartlett village president Mike Kelly will be competing with Hanover Park's Mayor Rodney Craig and Streamwood village president Billie Roth to raise the most money for the annual Kiwanis Club's Peanut Day on Friday, Sept. 24.
Kelly will be at the Bartlett Dunkin' Donuts location, 751 S. Route 59, from 7 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. on the 24th. Craig will be at his town's Dunkin Donuts location on Thursday, Sept. 23 from 7 to 9 a.m. while Roth will be at the location at 656 S. Sutton Road on the 24th from 7 to 9 a.m.
Each town leader is a Kiwanis member and hopes to raise a record number of donations that will distribute food to the township office, college scholarships, high school Key Club activities and programs at the Elgin's Community Crisis Center.
