From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, the Bartlett Park District will host a Massage and Acupressure for Canine Wellness class at the Bartlett Park Gazebo.
The class will teach gentle massage techniques and acupressure points through the use of finger pressure.
As dogs get older, they experience similar ailments to humans, such as lumps, aches and a general slowing. This class will look to promote canine health by relaxing aging conditions and strengthening supporting body organ functions.
Acupressure and massage both reduce tension, stress and relieve pain.
Dogs will be at the event so attendees can get hands-on experience. If any participant wants to bring their own dog, they must call the instructor Scott Falli at (630) 540-4831.
The program requires registration and costs $90 for a resident and $100 for a nonresident.
