The village is asking residents to be aware of several traffic advisories in light of Halloween activities this weekend.
The Bartlett Downtown Business Costume Parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. Dozens of children will be participating in the free costume parade from the Village Hall parking lot to the parking lot of Dance Motions Inc. The tentative parade route is as follows: North on South Main Street from the Village Hall parking lot, west on Railroad Avenue from South Main Street to finish at Dance Motions Inc. parking lot at 301 W. Railroad Ave.
The village asks residents to be cautious of costumed children participating in the parade. Motorists and residents who live along the parade route may also experience slight traffic delays.
In addition to this parade, the Bartlett Lion’s Club will be hosting its fifth annual Sight Night Illuminated Halloween Parade at 7:30 p.m.
The parade’s participants will stage on Railroad Avenue east of Main Street and in the area of the new Metra parking lots. The parade will travel westbound on Railroad Avenue to Main Street and then southbound on Main Street to Devon Avenue. The motorized parade participants will then be continuing eastbound on Devon Avenue to Berteau Avenue and then northbound to Railroad Avenue.
The Bartlett Police Department will be carrying out traffic control in attempt to maintain and restore the safe and efficient movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Officers ask you to be aware that certain streets will be closed and traffic will be diverted during this time.
