Bartlett man damages police vehicle

A Bartlett man kicked out the rear passenger window of a police vehicle after allegedly driving drunk and hitting a mailbox Friday evening.
Jacek Mika, 39, 1907 Burton Drive, was arrested under charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, illegal transportation of an alcoholic beverage and criminal damage to state supported property.
Bartlett police were dispatched to Stanton Lane and Ariana Drive at about 7 p.m. to investigate a hit and run accident involving a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck that struck a mailbox, according to police reports.
