Adventist GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights will recognize U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam, R-6th Dist. of Wheaton, with a plaque at 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the hospital, 701 Winthrop Ave., Glendale Heights.

Officials from GlenOaks will dedicate a plaque and personally thank Roskam for securing $187,000 in federal funds for the hospital’s new no-wait emergency room. The funds were part of a $55 million appropriation Roskam secured for the Sixth Congressional District in the fiscal year 2008 Omnibus Appropriations bill signed by President Bush in December, hospital officials said.

The emergency room’s radiology suite also will be dedicated in memory of former U.S. Rep. Henry Hyde, Roskam’s predecessor who died in 2007.
