Police probe robbery, assault on Church Road
A resident was battered by four men, who took $160 from him during the attack at 7:15 p.m. Sunday  on the 100 block of Church Road, police said.
The victim was not seriously injured; and no description was given of the attackers.

Items stolen in car burglary
The rear passenger-side window of a vehicle was smashed in, and a navigation unit and a compact disc stereo taken, police said. The incident was reported at 7 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of South York Road.
No loss or damage estimate was given.

Man charged with drug possession
Pasqual Brito, 23, of 229 E. Pine Ave., was charged with possession of a controlled substance at 10:45 p.m. Saturday,  at 220 N. York Road, police said.

Resident faces theft charges
Gabriella Stafford, 17, of 100 E. George St., was charged with theft at 3 p.m. Friday  at a business on the 1000 block of South York Road.

Minor charged with drinking
Alfredo Muneton, 19, of 234 Poppy Lane, Leopoldo Patino, 19, of 1113 Stoneham St., and Emmanuel Nogueda, no age given, of 100 E. George St., all were charged with underage consumption of alcohol at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at 110 E. George St, according to reports.
Patino also was charged with possession of marijuana.

Apartment burglary nets $7,000
A total of $7,000 was taken from a drawer in an apartment on the 1300 block of West Irving Park Road. The incident was reported at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 14, police said.
Police did not indicate how the apartment was entered.

Wood Dale
Unlocked bicycle taken from library
A silver boys mountain bike, no value given, was stolen after it was left unlocked at the Wood Dale Public Library, 520 N. Wood Dale Road, police said. The theft was reported at 3:15 p.m. Monday .

Man faces domestic battery charge
George J. Oplt,  24, a resident of the 400 block of Jeanne Court, was charged with two counts of domestic battery at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wood Dale police station, 404 N. Wood Dale Road.
Police said Oplt also had five outstanding warrants – three for domestic battery and two for driving with a suspended license.

Items stolen from hotel room
A shirt, shoes and an MP3 music player was stolen from a 55-year-old New York man’s room at the Doubletree Hotel, 1200 Mittel Blvd., police said. The incident was reported at 6:50 p.m. Aug. 13.

Man charged with suspended license
Paul S. Lee, 22, of 1641 Alexis Court, Lake Forest, was charged with driving with a suspended license at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 13 near Prospect and Thorndale avenues, according to police reports.
