Addison

Resident faces multiple charges
Jose Guerrero, 24, 431 W. Moreland Ave., was charged with no valid driver’s license, no insurance and obstruction of justice at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 25 near Church Road and Moreland Avenue.
According to police, Guerrero gave a false name in order to hide not having a valid license.

Man charged with DUI
Juan Alvarez, 30, 455 Green Oaks Court, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license at 12:45 a.m. Aug. 25 near Michael Lane and Valerie Avenue.
Alvarez also had an outstanding warrant from the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear in court.

Woman charged with battery
Jasmine G. Morawa, 27, of the 300 block of Hale Street in  Addison, was charged with battery after she allegedly punched a person in the face at 8:15 p.m. Aug. 25 at her residence.

Man faces DUI, traffic charges
Ismael Morales, 29, of 204 Radcliff Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a traffic-control device and driving with a defective windshield at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 24 near Kennedy Drive and Lake Street.

Morales also had outstanding warrants from the Cook and DuPage County sheriff’s departments.

Bensenville

Resident charged with drunkenness
Marino Carrillo, 20, 203 Grace St., was charged with public intoxication at 4 a.m. Sept. 8 near Grace and Wood streets.

Man charged with battery
Namon Johnson, 42, of Chicago was charged with battery at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 5 along the 700 block of Route 83.

Theft at business reported
A motor and several other items were taken from a business along the 500 block of North York Road. The incident was reported at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 5.
No value was given on the stolen items.

Three vacant properties burglarized
Three properties vacated as part of the O’Hare Modernization Program were burglarized between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 5.
Two houses on the first block of O’Hare Court were entered, as was a property along the first block of Roosevelt Avenue, where a sink was stolen.

Wood Dale

Navigation unit taken
The window of a Chicago man’s car was smashed and a navigation system removed while it was parked at a business along the 1300 block of Mittel Boulevard.
The incident was reported at 6 a.m. Sept. 8. No loss estimate was given.

Drunken driving alleged
Arkadiusz Starostka, 30, of Norridge was charged with drunken driving and driving with a suspended license at 4 a.m. Sept. 6 near Irving Park Road and Forest View Avenue.

Gas grill stolen
A natural gas stainless steel grill and a gas hookup attachment, total value of $800, were taken from a backyard along the 500 block of North Edgewood Avenue.
The incident was reported at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 5.
