Cars reported stolen
Addison police said they received two reports of vehicles being stolen after people left the vehicles running and unattended so they could warm up the engines.
According to police, a resident reported that a black Ford Escort was stolen from a parking lot while it was left running at about 8 p.m. Jan. 7 at 90 W. Lake St.
Police said another resident along the 500 block of North Highview Avenue reported someone stole a Dodge minivan at about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 6, police said.
Police said the minivan was later found with extensive damage. No indication was given if the other vehicle was found. No estimate on loss or damage was given in the incidents.
Man faces DUI, drug charges
Curtis Ewert, 20, of Mount Prospect, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment after an accident at about 3:30 a.m. Jan. 1 near Addison Road and Green Meadows Avenue, police said.
Ewert was treated for minor injuries in the accident, police said. No other injuries were reported.
Man faces battery charge
Richard Santill, 52, of the 600 block of Lake Manor Drive, Addison, was charged with domestic battery at about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at his home, police said.
Man nets traffic citation
Taylor Lee, 22, 405 Beverly St., Villa Park, was charged for not having front license plate and on an outstanding warrant from McLean County at about 11:15 a.m. Dec. 30 near the Intersection of Lake Street and Iowa Avenue, police said.
Man charged on warrants
Jorge Luna, 27, 502 S. Lincoln Ave., Addison, was taken into custody for having two outstanding warrants at about 12:15 p.m. Dec. 28 along the 200 block of West Lake Street.

Man faces conduct charge
Servando A. Lopez, 19, of the 900 block of West Irving Park Road, Bensenville, was charged with disorderly conduct at about 8:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at his home.
Man faces battery charge
Eusenio Sinaca-Chapol, 26, of Mount Prospect, was charged with domestic battery at about 1 a.m. Jan. 10 along the 10 block of West Green Street, police said.
Local man charged with DUI
Paul A. Halligan, 53, 316 E. Red Oak St., Bensenville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8 near the intersection of York Road and Jefferson Street, police said.
Police probe home burglary
A resident along the 300 block of Roxan Avenue said an unknown person entered his home through a basement window and stole jewelry at about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 8, police said.
No loss estimate was given.
Machines damaged
Police said a resident reported two men damaged and attempted to burglarize a vending machine at about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 1 along the 100 block of East George Street, police said.
No other suspect description was given, and no damage estimate was reported.
