Trailer reported damaged at business
A trailer was damaged at a business near Foxdale and Royal avenues. The incident occurred between 4 p.m. July 16 and 8:15 a.m. July 23.

Air conditioner reported stolen from business
An air-conditioning unit was stolen from the outside of a business on the 100 block of Oak Street. The incident occurred between 8 p.m. July 16 and 7 a.m. July 17.

Chicago man charged with marijuana possession
Leonardo Lara Jr., 22, 3418 S. Hamilton St., Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no seat belt and having a tinted license plate cover at about 6:15 p.m. July 15 along the 500 block of Shriners Drive.

Residents report ‘Ding Dong Ditching’
A man ran up to the front doors of homes along the 700 block of Neva Avenue, rang the doorbells, and ran away. Incidents were reported between 6:45 p.m. July 14 and 12:45 p.m. July 15.

Bensenville
$3,000 reported stolen in home burglary
A resident along the 100 block of Henderson Street reported that an offender entered her residence and took $3,000 and other items from the master bedroom. The incident was reported at 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Car windows smashed out with baseball bat
A car parked along the 1000 block of Ferrari Drive had all its windows smashed with a baseball bat. The incident was reported at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Man charged with public drunkenness
Jorge Valesquez, 24, of 118 Gerry Stevens Court, Bensenville, was charged with public intoxication at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at 111 W. Grand Ave.

Home’s window screen reported damaged
A resident along the 700 block of West Memorial Road reported an offender entered the residence through a kitchen window and damaged the widow screen. The incident was reported at 1 a.m. Saturday .
Nothing was reported taken in the burglary.

Counterfeit money discovered at McDonald’s
An employee of McDonald’s, 630 N. Route 83, reported that four counterfeit $20 bills were discovered by employees. The incident was reported at 2 p.m. July 24.

Police notified the U.S. Secret Service, which will handle the investigation.

Wood Dale
Woman charged with drunken driving
Trisha Speyer, 23, of 288 S. Cedar St., Wood Dale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she allegedly struck a parked car. The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near Central Avenue and Woodlane Court.
No one was injured in the accident.

Wrist watch reported stolen from home
A resident along the 300 block of South Wood Dale Road reported that an offender broke into the residence and removed a silver watch, valued at $150. The incident was reported at 11:20 p.m. Monday.
Police said the handle on the front door was broken in the burglary.

Items reported stolen from unlocked vehicle
A resident along the 200 block of North Walter Drive reported that an offender took an MP3 music player, a Bluetooth, a radar detector and an air freshener from his unlocked vehicle. The incident occurred between 11 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.

Navigation system reported stolen from vehicle
A resident along the 200 block of North Mill Road reported that a navigation system valued at $700 was taken from a vehicle between Friday evening and 8 a.m. Saturday . Police said it was unknown how the offender entered the vehicle.
