Illinois state treasurer Dan Rutherford was in Lombard last Tuesday when the village hosted a Cash Dash program.

The Cash Dash program is organized by the state treasurer’s office to help Illinois residents find lost or unclaimed property.

During last week’s program, 147 searches were conducted, and 37 claims were found.
Village president, Bill Mueller, presented Rutherford with a key to the village and spoke with him for an upcoming segment of Open Mike, Mueller’s monthly cable program.

Any residents who were unable to attend the event, but would like to search for unclaimed property can do so online at the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office website.
