Earlier this year, students at Blackhawk Middle School participated in discussions about bullying and how to prevent it among their peers. Inspired by the conversations, two students took the initiative to start a new club at school, United Against Bullying.

Since the club’s inception two months ago, more than 30 students have become members. The club has organized a school-wide, anti-bullying awareness campaign.

During this week, more than two-thirds of the students dressed in blue to show their support for ending bullying.

The school has created an anti-bullying hotline that students can text or e-mail if they witness, or are victims, of bullying.
