GLEN ELLYN – Local families can learn more about the impact of legalized marijuana on young people during a presentation at 6:30 p.m. March 5 at Glen Crest Middle School, 725 Sheehan Ave, Glen Ellyn.
The presentation, “Marijuana Use and Teens: What Parents Need to Know,” is free and open to parents and guardians from the Community Consolidated School District 89. The one-hour event will be led by Jordan Esser, community initiatives coordinator for the DuPage County Health Department, and Joe Nemchock, community education officer for the Glen Ellyn Police Department.
Esser and Nemchock wills share information about the new marijuana law, as well as local laws and ordinances in the Glen Ellyn area. Esser will also discuss the health impacts for young people who use marijuana, as well as offer up tips for parents on how to discuss marijuana and the new law with their children.
