ABOUT: "A River Thru History" will be presented by Des Plaines Valley Rendezvous. The family-friendly party along the banks of the Des Plaines River features an early-American fur trade era reenactment of a Voyageur Rendezvous camp, as well as food, music and live animals. With fur trappers, settlers, craftsmen and entertainers, it depicts early American life on the Illinois frontier prior to 1848, with emphasis on local history.
