LEMONT - The Lemont High School Educational Foundation will host “Food for Thought: Taste of Lemont” from 5 to 11 p.m. Sept. 7 near the Metra lot in downtown Lemont.
This family-friendly event will feature some of the best food and beverages the Lemont community can offer as well a concert performed by Hi Infidelity.
Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance and $15 at the door. Admission is free for ages 14 and under, and also free for Lemont High School students with a valid student ID. Tickets may be purchased online by visiting www.tasteoflemont.com.

Hi Infidelity will make its Taste of Lemont debut in 2019. The band's sets feature the music of 80s rock bands such as Journey, Bon Jovi and REO Speedwagon as well as the music of 50 other artists.
The Taste of Lemont is the foundation's most important annual fundraiser. The event draws thousands of attendees each year.
Food tickets can be purchased on site and redeemed with the vendors. Each restaurant will have multiple affordable options on its menu. Participating food and beverage vendors will be finalized in the coming weeks.
The Taste of Lemont will be a rain-or-shine event. The event will also feature performances from local band Split Decision and other surprise musical guests as well as a split the pot fundraiser.
Proceeds from “Food for Thought” benefit the LHSEF, whose mission is to partner with the community to make lasting improvements to Lemont High School that will enhance the total educational experience for all of its students. T
The LHSEF has awarded more than $430,000 in grants to Lemont High School students, faculty and staff since 2007.
