HINSDALE – The adoptable cats and kittens of the Tuthill Family Pet Rescue and Resource Center operated by Hinsdale Humane Society are set to be the centerpiece of a Yoga with Cats session led by Corepower Yoga Hinsdale.
The event will take place at 10 a.m. June 15 in the Elinor & Jake Brickman Education Center within the PRRC building at 21 Salt Creek Lane in Hinsdale.
“We had a very successful Yoga with Dogs event back in January,” said Kathy Hanley, development manager of the Hinsdale Humane Society. “So, of course, we have to follow that up with a Yoga with Cats event for our cat-loving friends.”
The event is a human/animal bonding opportunity in which homeless feline residents of the PRRC will roam throughout the class, providing therapeutic benefits for attendees. In return, the cats and kittens will experience socialization enrichment.
A suggested donation of $20 or more is appreciated. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees are asked to bring their own mat and water bottle. Attendance is limited to 25 participants. Register at http://bit.ly/HHSYogaCats or visit hinsdalehumanesociety.org.
Yoga with Cats takes place during Adopt a Cat month, a national month of awareness highlighting the importance of spaying/neutering pets to help control the pet population.
