Candidates forum set for March 16

GLEN ELLYN – Candidates running for several offices in Glen Ellyn are expected to appear at a March 16 forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn.

The forum will be at the Glen Ellyn Historical Society, 800 N. Main St. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

The forum will feature candidates running for school board in Glen Ellyn School District 41, Glenbard District 87 and Community Consolidated School District 89, as well as the Glen Ellyn Park Board, Glen Ellyn Village Board and the College of DuPage Board of Trustees.

The schedule and candidates who have agreed to participate:

9 a.m. – District 41: Stephanie Clark, Kurt Buchholz, Jessica Buttimer, Edward “Ted” Estes and Julie Hill have agreed to participate.

10:10 a.m. – District 87: Margaret DeLaRosa, Mireya Vera and John Kenwood will attend.

10:50 a.m. – Glen Ellyn Park Board candidates Ben Stortz, Christine Wilson, Paul O. Bischoff Jr., Jeff West and Kathy Cornell have agreed to attend.

11:30 a.m. – College of DuPage trustee candidates Annette Corrigan, Marc Incrocci, Dan Bailey and Maureen Dunne have agreed to take part in the event.

Candidates for village trustee, library board and District 89 school board are running unopposed and may be available to meet voters throughout the morning.
