Sheriff James Mendrick is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the location of Trevon J. Price, who has been identified as a suspect in the Dec. 1 shooting of a man in unincorporated Villa Park.

Price, 20, was identified by sheriff’s investigators in the shooting and is currently wanted on a misdemeanor warrant for obstruction of justice for an unrelated case, according to a DuPage County Sheriff's Office news release issued Dec. 6.

The Sheriff's Office received a call at about 1 a.m. Dec. 1 that a man was shot during a domestic dispute in the 1S100 block of Radford Lane in unincorporated Villa Park.

Arriving on the scene, they located a 36 year-old male with a gunshot wound, who was conscious and transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition, police report.

Sheriff’s detectives were able to identify a suspect, and learned he had fled the area immediately after the incident. There was no immediate threat to the community, police stated.

Price was living in unincorporated Villa Park on the day of the shooting and according to police, is known to frequent the Lawndale neighborhood in Chicago, as well as Aurora.

Anyone with information on Price’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Godfrey at 630-407-2400.
