BERWYN – To better serve customers this holiday season, the Berwyn post office has expanded its lobby hours. The Berwyn post office will be open until 5 p.m. each Saturday beginning Nov. 24, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Sunday beginning Dec. 2 and running through Christmas.
Thanks to more people shopping earlier and shopping online, customer traffic is expected to increase beginning Dec. 10, and the Postal Service expects to deliver nearly 200 million packages per week during these two weeks. The week of Dec. 17 to 23 is predicted to be the busiest mailing, shipping and delivery week. During this week, the Postal Service expects to process and deliver nearly 3 billion pieces of first-class mail, including greeting cards.
If preferred, consumers can skip the trip to the post office and mail items with online services at usps.com. The Click-N-Ship feature and other online services allow consumers to order free Priority Mail boxes, print shipping labels, purchase postage and even request free next-day package pickup.
Also check out USPS Informed Delivery. It is the Postal Service’s free daily digital preview of what’s coming to the mailbox. This holiday season, residents can manage packages and sneak a peek at cards headed to the mail box, as well as see some exterior images of magazines and catalogs, all from a mobile app, dashboard, tablet or computer.
