WW South kicker makes eight fields in 26-0 win
WHEATON – Special teamer Jack Olsen inspired a handful of lofty chants from the Wheaton Warrenville South football student section Friday night.
Ain’t that a kick? Or eight.
Shouts of “YOU CAN’T STOP HIM!” and “MVP!” pierced through a persistent mist for good reason. Olsen drilled an IHSA single-game record eight field goals in the Tigers’ 26-0 season opening shutout of Metea Valley, connecting from 48, 38, 24, 44, 25, 44, 45 and 20 yards.
