Attempted theft

An attempted retail theft reportedly occurred at 7:39 p.m. Aug. 1 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St.

Battery

• Natasha Younan, 34, of the 100 block of North Willow Road, Elmhurst, was charged at 9:38 a.m. July 30 with domestic battery in the 100 block of North Willow Road.

• A juvenile was charged at 7:45 a.m. Aug. 2 with domestic battery on Bryan Street.

Burglary

• A Dodge Charger reportedly was stolen at 8:10 p.m. July 22 from the service bay at Napleton KIA, 727 W. Grand Ave.

• An orange Husqvarna K-760 concrete saw reportedly was stolen between 4 p.m. July 27 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 1 from a work vehicle at Landview Excavating, 910 S. Riverside Drive.

• Equipment reportedly was stolen between 4:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 6:19 a.m. Aug. 2 at Elm Lawn Cemetery, 401 E. Lake St.

• A burglary reportedly occurred between 4 p.m. July 29 and 4 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 200 block of East Grantley Avenue.

• A burglary was reported at 5:46 p.m. Aug. 5 in the 400 block of North Elm Avenue.

Controlled substance possession

Molly Rose O'Connor, 20, of the 400 block of Huntington Lane, Elmhurst, was charged at 11:23 a.m. Aug. 5 with possession of a controlled substance in the 500 block of South Cottage Hill Avenue.

Disturbance

A disturbance reportedly occurred at 12:13 a.m. Aug. 5 at Fitz's Spare Keys, 119 N. York St.

Drug paraphernalia possession

Jose J. Fierro, 18, of the 500 block of West Touhy Avenue, Des Plaines, was cited at 1:26 a.m. Aug. 4 with possession of drug paraphernalia at York Street and Industrial Drive. Felix C. Lugardo, 19, of the 100 block of Sonny Lane, Bensenville, was cited at the same time and date with driving while license suspended at the same location.

DUI

• Elio A. Rosas-Gonzalez, 23, of the 600 block of Osceola Road, Nokomis, Fla., was charged at 12:24 a.m. Aug. 2 with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended, speeding and illegal transportation of open alcohol at York and Roosevelt roads.

• Jason A. Kurosaki, 37, of the 1800 block of Belleview Avenue, Westchester, was charged at 2:13 a.m. July 31 with DUI of alcohol and improper lane use at York Street and Cayuga Avenue.

• Christian Enciso, 18, of the 700 block of West Diversey Avenue, Addison, was charged at 2:26 a.m. Aug. 5 with DUI of drugs and no valid driver's license at Grand Avenue and Church Street. Omar Gomez, 18, of the 300 block of South Hale Street, Addison, was cited at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.

Fire

• A fire reportedly occurred at 1:31 a.m. Aug. 3 in the 600 block of Mitchell Avenue.

• A fire reportedly occurred at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 3 at Third Street and Larch Avenue.

Fraud

An incident involving fraud was reported at 11:20 a.m. Aug. 4 at Bank of America, 205 N. Addison Ave. Two suspects reportedly attempted to withdraw a large amount of funds using a debit card. They reportedly had attempted a similar withdrawal at another Bank of America location.

Identity theft

• Six vehicles were reported at 9:42 a.m. July 30 as having been fraudulently purchased at Wilkins Hyundai, 750 N. York St.

• An incident involving identity theft reportedly occurred at 12:01 a.m. July 30 in the 900 block of South Prospect Avenue.

• An incident involving identity theft was reported at 1:12 p.m. Aug. 2 as having occurred at noon July 26 in the 600 block of South Stratford Avenue.

• An incident involving identity theft was reported at 9:14 a.m. Aug. 3 in the 400 block of North Walnut Street.

Lost property

A front license plate reportedly was lost between 7 a.m. and noon July 29 in the 600 block of South Saylor Avenue.

Marijuana possession

• Nasheay Snape, 18, of the 1800 block of Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, Conn., was cited at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 1 with unlawful possession of marijuana and soliciting without a permit at North and Maple avenues.

• Four juveniles were cited at 7:24 p.m. Aug. 1 with unlawful possession of marijuana at the Addison Parking Deck, 135 N. Addison St.

• Cedric Conday, 28, of the 500 block of North Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was cited at 12:46 a.m. Aug. 3 with unlawful possession of marijuana, disobeying a traffic control device, no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 300 block of South Route 83.

• Devin Skuzinski, 21, of the 12600 block of South Massasoit Avenue, Palos Heights, was cited at 1:04 a.m. Aug. 3 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting at North Avenue and Indiana Street.

• Antwaun K. Cubie, 22, of the 2300 block of 182nd Place, Lansing, was cited at 1:49 a.m. Aug. 4 with unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to wear a seat belt and expired registration at York Street and Industrial Drive.

• Dana A. Goldberg, 31, of the 400 block of Bluebird Lane, Deerfield, was cited at 2:19 a.m. Aug. 4 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane use and using an electronic communication device while driving at Route 83 and Second Street.

• Omer Shaheen, 26, of the 600 block of Lance Drive, Des Plaines, was cited at 2:20 a.m. Aug. 4 with unlawful possession of marijuana at North and Melrose avenues.

• Noel E. Lopez, 19, of the zero to 100 block of George Street, Bensenville, was cited at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 4 with unlawful possession of marijuana at Grand Avenue and Church Street.

Obstructing a peace officer

Joseph D. Schenk, 31, of the 1500 block of Jill Court, Glendale Heights, was charged at 6:21 p.m. July 31 with obstructing a peace officer, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and aggravated battery at Lake and Church streets. Mayrel J. Gamez, 25, of the 1500 block of Jill Court, Glendale Heights, was charged at the same time and date with obstructing a peace officer and criminal trespass to motor vehicle at the same location.

Property damage

• Orange spray paint reportedly was used to spray graffiti between 8 p.m. July 31 and 5:06 p.m. Aug. 1 at a home under construction in the 700 block of South Saylor Avenue. Spray paint reportedly also was marked on the rear fences of adjacent properties, and a bike reportedly was placed inside a portable toilet, which was then knocked over.

• The cracking of reflectors and minor scuffs to an Elmhurst Police Department speed trailer were reported at 8:39 a.m. Aug. 2 in the 400 block of Walnut Street.

• A secure entry door reportedly was taken apart between 12:01 a.m. Aug. 1 and 8 a.m. Aug. 2 at Elm Creek Apartments and Townhomes, 2 Elm Creek Drive. The door was able to be opened without using a secure key fob.

Suspicious circumstances

• An incident involving a suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:45 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 900 block of South Saylor Avenue.

• An incident involving a suspicious person reportedly occurred at 7:40 p.m. Aug. 2 at a storage facility in the 700 block of North Walnut Street.

Theft

• Gold diamond rings were reported lost at 3:26 p.m. July 31 at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road.

• Emma Larson, 19, of the 300 block of South Holly Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited at 6 p.m. July 31 with retail theft at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.

• A phone reportedly was stolen between 1 and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Elmhurst-Chicago Stone Co., 400 W. First St.

• Several items reportedly were stolen between 12:01 a.m. June 1 and 4:29 p.m. Aug. 5 from a home in the 500 block of Atwood Court.

Traffic violation

• Estephanie A. Restrepo, 27, of the zero to 100 block of South Joyce Avenue, Addison, was cited at 4:34 p.m. Aug. 2 with driving while license suspended and passing vehicle while on shoulder of road at Route 83 and North Avenue.

• Diontae Johnson, 29, of the 6200 block of West 26th Street, Berwyn, was cited at 2:47 a.m. Aug. 3 with driving while license suspended, suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting at York Street and Crestview Avenue.

• Sabdyel Reyes, 21, of the 1500 block of North Caryl Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged at 3:24 a.m. Aug. 4 with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and tinted windows at North Avenue and York Street.

• Nicholas C. Kozura, 29, of the 400 block of West Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, was charged at 12:11 a.m. Aug. 5 with driving while license suspended and operating a motor vehicle with one headlamp in the 300 block of West St. Charles Road.

Warrant arrest

• Daniel Marin, 28, of the 200 block of North Wisconsin Avenue, Villa Park, was arrested at 7:32 p.m. July 29 on a warrant out of DuPage County at Shell, 654 W. North Ave.

• Jose Ortiz, 22, of the 1600 block of Kensington Avenue, Westchester, was arrested at 7:04 p.m. July 30 on a warrant out of Cook County and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at York Street and St. Charles Road. Cesar Gomez, 27, of the 300 block of East Hilton Avenue, Addison, was cited at the same time and date with failure to signal, unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the same location.

• Gary Kocsis, 40, of the 4200 block of East Renner Road, Richardson, Texas, was arrested at 6:08 p.m. July 31 on a warrant out of Cook County and cited with expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at West Avenue and Fellows Court.

• Nathan A. Lewis, 20, of the 300 block of Cedar Lane, Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. July 31 on a warrant out of DuPage County and charged with obstructing a peace officer in the 200 block of Oak Street.

• Gina Palmere, 36, of the 2700 block of Elder Lane, Franklin Park, was arrested at 1:58 a.m. Aug. 1 on a warrant out of DuPage County and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing identification and improper lane use at Roosevelt and York roads.

• Lyzetthe Martinez, 35, of the 600 block of Lake Park Drive, Addison, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. Aug. 4 on two warrants out of DuPage County and charged with unlawful use of electronic communications device, driving while license suspended and obstructing identification at Route 83 and North Avenue.

• Osbin Vasquez, 21, of the 200 block of West Sonny Lane, Bensenville, was arrested at 1 a.m. Aug. 5 on a warrant out of DuPage County and charged with driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Grand Avenue and Church Street.
