Police: Customer demands leftover meat from Downers Grove Panda Express

DOWNERS GROVE – A customer at a Downers Grove restaurant reportedly became irritated July 14 when employees refused to meet his demands, according to a Downers Grove Police Department report.

The man entered Panda Express, 74 Ogden Ave., at about 8:52 p.m., ordered a meal and asked the employees to give him all the remaining meat because it would be thrown out when the store closed a few moments later, the report stated.

An employee told the man he would have to pay for the extra meat, according to the report.

The man allegedly became angry and asked again for the remaining meat, the report stated. He then allegedly demanded to see the employees throw away the meat while he watched. It is alleged he continued to harass the employees and recorded them with his cellphone, according to the report.

The man, who was in his 20s, ultimately left the restaurant without any food and drove eastbound on Ogden Avenue in a gray Nissan Rogue or Acura, the report stated.
