Coroner identifies man found dead at Downers Grove Starbucks as Burr Ridge 19-year-old

DOWNERS GROVE – The DuPage County Coroner's Office has identified the person found dead May 11 inside the bathroom of a Downers Grove Starbucks as an area teen, according to a Coroner's Office news release.

The Coroner's Office, Downers Grove Police Department and DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office are investigating the death of Kevin Edward Ryan, 19, of Burr Ridge, the release stated.
Ryan died of an apparent drug overdose, according to the Downers Grove Police Department. He was found unconscious at about 10 a.m. May 11 inside the bathroom of Starbucks, 76 Ogden Ave., the department stated.
First responders were unable to revive Ryan, and he was pronounced dead at the coffee shop, Downers Grove Police Lt. David Bormann said.
Bormann would not provide details about who discovered Ryan.
All further information will be released through the State’s Attorney Office, according to the Coroner's Office.
