LA GRANGE PARK – The 11th production of The Footlight Players of La Grange Park will be the beloved Disney classic "The Little Mermaid."
Performances of "The Little Mermaid Jr." will be at 7:30 p.m. April 27 and 28 and 2 p.m. April 28 and 29 at Park Junior High School, 325 N. Park Road, La Grange Park.
"The Little Mermaid" tells the story of a magical underwater kingdom where a beautiful, young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home and her fins behind and live in the world above, according to a Community Park District of La Grange Park news release. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.
Tickets are on sale now. Advance tickets are available by visiting the Community Park District of La Grange Park Recreation Center, 1501 Barnsdale Road, La Grange Park, during normal business hours or calling Dave Romito at 708-354-4580. Pre-sale tickets are $10 for adults 18 and older and $5 for students. Children 5 and younger are free. Tickets purchased at the door of the performance will be $2 more, the release stated.
