BERWYN – Shoppers will be able to find a variety of vintage wares at the Berwyn Historical Society's 28th annual Antique and Collectible Sale.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 at the Liberty Cultural Center, 6445 27th Place, Berwyn.

The sale will feature a multitude of items, including glassware, porcelain, pottery, coins, vintage books, clothing, toys, jewelry, figurines, Christmas ornaments, linens, small furniture and more, according to an event news release. In addition to the sale, there will be a raffle, bake sale and snacks.

The event will include both new vendors and returning participants, the release stated.

Admission at the door is $3, with proceeds going to the Berwyn Historical Society and Berwyn Park District.

The historical society is in its 40th anniversary year, having started in 1979 with the goal of saving and restoring the Berwyn Train Depot at Oak Park Avenue, according to the release.

Since then, the society has been devoted to researching, preserving and sharing Berwyn’s history, the release stated. In 2011, a permanent home for the society was established at 1401 Grove Ave., in what was once a corner grocery store and meat market. A small museum display is open to the public from 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday.
