Cross Country: Downers South's Reidy, Siuda set indoor school records

Downers Grove South

The Mustangs set two new indoor school record at the Batavia Distance Madness meet on March 9. Sophomore Erin Reidy's 1,600-meter time of 5:05.76 broke her own recore of 5:09 she had established last year at Batavia.

Junior Eddie Siuda ran a new varsity indoor 1,600 record of 4:20.37, for second place.

Downers Grove South's Kelley Hackbarth (2:19.81) and Becky Versaskas (2:20.73) took third and fourth, respectively, in the 800. Reidy took third in the 1,600, as did Brenna Cohoon (11:10.65) in the 3,200.

Downers Grove South's Stephen Pipilas took fifth in the 1,600 (4:23.84) and Akhil Gosh took fourth in the 3,200 (9:28.67).

Hinsdale Central

Hinsdale Central's Grace McCabe and Reilly Revord went one/two in the 1,600, with times of 5:01.06 and 5:03.20 at the Batavia Distance Madness meet.

The Red Devils scored 68.5 points to Neuqua Valley's 87.5, Evanston's 96, Grayslake North's 27 and Simeon's 18 at a meet March 10.
