4 charged with retail theft at Wheaton Victoria's Secret

WHEATON – Four suspects have been charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing more than $2,000 worth of merchandise Feb. 21 from Victoria's Secret in Wheaton.

Darius Irving, 27, of the 4300 block of South Forest Avenue, Chicago, and Monique Sanders, 24, of the 3000 block of Rhodes Avenue, Chicago, along with two juveniles, have been charged with felony retail theft, according to a news release from the city of Wheaton.

On Feb. 21, Wheaton police officers were alerted to a retail theft at Victoria’s Secret, 151 E. Loop Drive in the Town Square Wheaton shopping center. Three suspects fled the store with more than $2,000 worth of merchandise and entered a waiting car, the release stated. The car fled the parking lot, and it was eventually stopped by officers, according to the release.

Irving and Sanders were transferred to the DuPage County Jail. The two juveniles were transferred to the Kane County Youth Home.
