Providing solid scores as the first performers were Hoban on three events and Samuta, who vaulted despite a recent elbow injury.
“I really try to set the tone for the team and try to hit for them so they’re not as nervous,” Hoban said. “We definitely have a new set of girls. It was just very exciting for them to be at their first regional and see how fun the state series is,” Samuta added. “It was a fun night just cheering each other on.”
