We live in Cicero and are senior citizens. Our town is supposed to help us shovel snow and clean our porches when it's 3 inches or more, hopefully. However, when there's not, it's hard for us to do it, and we would like to thank our neighbor Lucy and her children. They have been tremendous help to us when it's not 3 inches or the town has failed to come. She and her children come out and do shoveling for us. Again, thank you for the kind neighbors.
What could go wrong?
Now that the Downers Grove Village Council has voted 6-1 to approve licensing for the Tivoli Theatre to sell alcohol on a regular basis to patrons who will then go into a darkened room with seating for a thousand and watch R-rated movies, along with people under 21, including children accompanying their parents and teenage ushers and candy girls, and everyone is on their honor not to let any of the minors taste any of the alcohol, what could possibly go wrong?
Paying taxes should be easier
After the state government raised our taxes 66 percent, eliminating certain deductions or eliminating any kind of increases in the possible exemptions and things like that, the Illinois Department of Revenue is apparently under the impression that some of us can afford internet service in order to get in the tax forms that we may need to actually pay these outrageous taxes. There used to be a service where you could call an 800 number and actually order forms that you needed in order to pay the taxes. What are they trying to do? If they eliminate this number and eliminate the ability to order forms to pay taxes, what do they want to do, start charging you fees for paying late?
Who's supporting demonstrators?
I'd like to know where all these DACA people that are demonstrating – who's paying for their transportation? Who's paying for their hotel room? Who's paying for their food? Are they all on welfare? It doesn't seem like they have a job; they're always demonstrating. Give me, give me, give me, give me. I am so tired. I am an American citizen for 86 years. I don't understand these people. They want everything, and they don't deserve nothing.
