WHEATON – Because of expected mild temperatures, the Downtown Wheaton Association's fourth annual Ice (Cubed) Fest date has been moved from Jan. 27 to Feb. 3.
The festival is now set to take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 3 in downtown Wheaton. More than 30 sculptures will be on display throughout the downtown. As part of the event, there will be a live ice-carving demonstration at noon at Martin Memorial Plaza at the southwest corner of Front and Main streets.
The Wheaton Park District's Ice-A-Palooza also will take place that day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Athletic Center ice rinks, 500 S. Naperville Road, Wheaton. The event will feature skate performances by Center Ice of DuPage, a bonfire, games for kids and adults, visits with Anna, Elsa and Olaf from the movie "Frozen," and other activities.
