BOLINGBROOK – A Chicago man was arrested in connection with stealing a TV and possessing heroin Thursday.
Bolingbrook police responded to a retail theft in progress at 11:22 a.m. at the Walmart at 200 South Bolingbrook Drive, public information officer Lt. Anthony Columbus said.
Raymond Simmons, 23, of the 7700 block of Kingston Ave. in Chicago, was stopped exiting the store with a stolen 32-inch Samsung TV. Officers searched Simmons and found drug paraphernalia and four baggies with white powder, which tested positive for heroin. He was taken into custody and booked into the Will County jail at 1:49 p.m. Thursday. He faces chargesof retail theft and possession of a controlled substance. Simmons is being held on $30,000 bond and still was in jail Sunday. He is due in court Thursday.
