FBI searches for man who robbed Glen Ellyn bank

Robbery occurred Dec. 19 at Fifth Third Bank at 704 E. Roosevelt Road

GLEN ELLYN – The FBI continues to search for the man who robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 704 E. Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn at 1:19 p.m. Dec. 19.

The suspect also is thought to be responsible for the robbery of a Fifth Third Bank at 2998 Ogden Ave. in Aurora on Nov. 21 and the robbery of a PNC Bank at 9 E. Ogden Ave. in Naperville on Dec. 7, according to the FBI. The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s, about 6 feet tall, with a medium build.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a brown hat, dark blue winter coat, black winter gloves and black sunglasses and carrying a black messenger bag, according to the FBI's website.

The FBI is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading directly to the arrest of the suspect, who should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding the bank robbery can contact the FBI's Chicago Field Office at 312-421-6700.
