The host Sentinels remained unbeaten in impressive fashion Friday, using a fast start to roll past Plano 77-42 in the Interstate Eight Conference.
Westmont (8-0) jumped out to a 10-0 lead 90 seconds in, and led 29-12 after a quarter.
“We’ve won four games that we were trailing in the fourth quarter, so this is a little unusual for us,” Westmont coach Craig Etheridge said. “I couldn’t have scripted a better start to the game. We came out of the gate full throttle.”
“We knew we’d be a different type team than we’ve been in the past. We’re kind of built for putting pressure on people and running the floor, and we have a lot of guys who can shoot the ball and believe in each other.”
