Police Reports: Elmhurst for Dec. 15

Information in Police Reports is obtained from the Elmhurst Police Department. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

Battery

A theft of three pool cues and a battery reportedly occured between 9:30 and 10:56 a.m. Nov. 28 at Cue and Cushion, 622 W. Lake St.

Burglary

• Prescription sunglasses reportedly were stolen between 6 p.m. Nov. 26 and 7 a.m. Nov. 27 from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of North Evergreen Avenue.

• A vehicle reportedly had been entered between 7:30 p.m. Nov. 26 and 6:45 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 400 block of North Highview Avenue. A GPS, which reportedly had been removed from the vehicle during that time period, was found in the resident's yard. Nothing else reportedly was missing from the vehicle.

• Coins were reported stolen at 8:56 p.m. Nov. 27 from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway in the 600 block of West Fay Avenue.

• A FitBit watch and cash reportedly were stolen between 10 p.m. Nov. 26 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 27 from unlocked vehicles parked in a driveway in the 400 block of North Evergreen Avenue.

• A car battery charger reportedly was stolen from under the hood of a red 2011 Dodge Journey between 10:50 and 11:01 a.m. Nov. 27 in the parking lot of Extended Stay America, 550 W. Grand Ave.

• Coins reportedly were stolen between 10 p.m. Nov. 26 and 7:40 a.m. Nov. 27 from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of West Gladys Avenue. The vehicle reportedly was rummaged through during that same time.

• A black Samsung Galaxy and spare change reportedly were stolen between 8 a.m. Nov. 26 and 5:30 a.m. Nov. 27 from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of West Gladys Avenue.

• A bowling ball and some personal papers reportedly were stolen at 5 a.m. Nov. 27 from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway in the 600 block of West Fay Avenue.

Trespassing

• A vehicle reportedly had been entered and rummaged through between 11 a.m. Nov 26 and 5:40 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 300 block of North Walnut Street. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

• A car reportedly was entered between 11 p.m. Nov. 26 and 11 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 400 block of North Highview Avenue.

Property damage

Brian T. Beahan, 36, of the 200 block of Adelia Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 8:01 a.m. Nov. 30 with criminal damage to property in the 200 block of Adelia Street.

Disorderly conduct

Robert L. Baldwin, 68, of the 600 block of George Street, Bensenville, was charged at 3:14 p.m. Nov. 28 with disorderly conduct – public intoxication at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.

Identity theft

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 12:57 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 400 block of West Dorchester Place.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 500 block of North Elm Avenue.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 4:52 p.m. Nov. 29 in the 700 block of South Poplar Avenue.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 11:43 a.m. Dec. 1 in the 100 block of Geneva Avenue.

Marijuana possession

• A juvenile was cited at 2:08 p.m. Nov. 27 with unlawful possession of marijuana at York Community High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road.

• Davonte Ecford, 22, of the 1300 block of North Austin Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 10:28 p.m. Nov. 28 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of West North Avenue.

• Dylan Sircher, 19, of the 900 block of South Euclid Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 1:57 a.m. Dec. 2 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver's license and no insurance at St. Charles and York roads. Theodore Grant, 19, of the 700 block of Hackberry Lane, Algonquin, and Rommel Bautista, 18, of the 100 block of George Street, Bensenville, were charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the same location.

Robbery

• A robbery was reported at 10:15 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 100 block of East North Avenue.

• An attempted robbery was reported at 12:47 a.m. Nov. 28 at Bucky's Express Mobil Oil gas station, 1000 N. York Road.

Theft

• Derek Jennings, 21, of the 1700 block of North Campbell Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 9:07 p.m. Nov. 28 with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Jewel-Osco, 153 E. Schiller St. Alexis Corral, 22, of the 300 block of Morris Avenue, Bellwood, was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana and disobeying a stop sign at the same location.

• A driver's license was reported stolen at 1 p.m. Nov. 23. It reportedly was last used at Doti Liquors, 104 E. Fullerton Ave.

• Two packages of Prilosec pills and a package of Crest White Strips reportedly were stolen between 12:37 and 12:47 p.m. Nov. 28 at Mariano's, 678 N. York Road.

• A red Freightliner Cascadia tractor/trailer reportedly was stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 27 at TransChicago, 776 N. York Road.

• An incident of theft by deception reportedly occurred at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 28 in the 100 block of North Maple Avenue. The victim reportedly received a phone call stating the caller was her granddaughter, who was in jail, and a second woman on the call stated she was the public defender and needed cash to have the victim's granddaughter released from jail. The victim went to Walmart and bought gift cards and gave the numbers to the callers. The victim later discovered the granddaughter was never in jail.

• An attempted theft by deception reportedly occurred at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 in the 400 block of South Cottage HIll Avenue. The victim reportedly saw an ad on his monitor warning him a virus had infected his computer and stating that in order to erase the virus, the victim needed to use a service and pay $464.40. The victim did not pay the fee, and there was no dollar loss.

• Jessica Sieja, 22, of the 500 block of East Park Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 9:03 p.m. Nov. 28 with retail theft at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.

• An incident of theft by deception reportedly occurred at 9:51 a.m. Nov. 29 in the 200 block of South West Avenue.

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen at 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at Mariano's, 678 N. York Road. The items reportedly were left in a shopping cart in the parking lot as the suspect fled the area.

• A catalytic converter reportedly was stolen between 12:01 a.m. Nov. 23 and 11:40 a.m. Dec. 1 from a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 800 block of North York Road.

Traffic violation

• Antwon Robinson, 20, of the 500 block of 22nd Avenue, Bellwood, was charged at 5:44 a.m. Nov. 30 with driving while license suspended and suspended registration at Butterfield Road and Swain Avenue.

• Roman Stefanyshys, 32, of the 3200 block of West Division Street, Chicago, was charged at 2:50 p.m. Dec. 1 with no valid driver's license and no insurance at Grand Avenue and County Line Road.

Underage drinking

John Schreiber, 18, of the 100 block of North Walnut Street, Elmhurst; Alexander Meurer, 18, of the 200 block of West Claremont Avenue, Elmhurst; Josephine Lytton, 18, of the 5700 block of Rose Court, Berkeley; Alexis Makaris, 18, of the 600 block of Ferdinand Avenue, Forest Park, and seven juveniles were cited at 10:18 p.m. Dec. 2 with consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 700 block of South Fairfield Avenue.

Altered credit card possession

Wayne Johnson, 23, of the 3700 block of 215th Street, Matteson, and Jereme Hall, 23, of the 8000 block of South Constance Avenue, Chicago, were charged at 5:07 p.m. Nov. 29 with unlawful possession of an altered credit card at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St. Khaleeq Muse, 23, of the 8400 block of South Green Street, Chicago, was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of an altered credit card and unlawful use of a credit card at the same location.

Warrant arrest

• Markisha Williams, 24, of the 5100 block of North Springfield Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Nov. 25 on a warrant out of Rosemont and charged with resisting an officer and obstructing identification at Roosevelt and York roads. Ashley Sanders, 22, of the 1800 block of North Mobile Avenue, Chicago, was charged at the same time and date with illegal transportation of alcohol at the same location.

• Maribel Irizarry, 45, of the 800 block of Pamela Drive, Bensenville, was arrested at 7:11 p.m. Nov. 27 on an unspecified warrant at the Elmhurst Police Department, 125 E. First St.

Zero tolerance

James Jelic, 20, of the 3400 block of South Austin Boulevard, Chicago, was charged at 3:25 a.m. Nov. 19 with speeding, improper lane use, tinted windows, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, consumption of alcohol by a minor, use of false identification and zero tolerance at Crestview Avenue and Michigan Street.
