Suburban Life Sound Off: Nov. 27-Dec. 3

What will happen to Cook County pop tax dollars?

I'd like to know what they're going to do with all that money that they've had now for taxes and everything else. I live in a house where they drink a lot of soda...and I'd like to know what's going to happen with that money. No way they can return it to anybody because they don't know who's got what. I'm really mad about that in the first place.

No taxpayer money to protect abusers

Our nation has learned that members of Congress have used tax money to hush up the people they sexually [harassed]. This is sickening. Be sure that Illinois has specific legislation to make such misuse of tax money a felony. The sexual abuse of women and children is terrible enough, but if law-abiding taxpayers are robbed in order to protect the abusers, it is double disgusting.

Reluctant to let Trump rule

A [Nov. 22-24] Sound Off said Donald Trump was elected as president, and therefore, we should let him run the country. That is wrong. We elected Hillary Clinton as our president by 4 million votes' margin over Donald Trump. Donald Trump was simply Electoral College'd as our president, and we should be very reluctant to let him run our country.
