Event returns to downtown Wheaton for second year
WHEATON – For the second year in a row, those who visit downtown Wheaton this holiday season will be able to see the biblical story of Christmas brought to life through art.
The Jonahre Foundation, a nonprofit group, will present A Gift to Remember: Christmas Art Walk from Dec. 12 to 24. The foundation's mission is to bring biblical storytelling to life through the arts to transform lives.
Last year's event was well-received by the community, Christine Gunn-Danforth, president of The Jonahre Foundation, said.
"The living nativity [play] was very well attended," she said. "Even though it was very cold, people bundled up the kids and families came out. The little kids were just in awe…It was just too beautiful."
