Police Reports: Elmhurst for Dec. 1

Information in Police Reports is obtained from the Elmhurst Police Department. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

Battery

• A battery and an attempted theft were reported at 11:21 a.m. Nov. 18 at Mariano's, 678 N. York Road.

• Walter Pena, 19, of the 400 block of Melrose Avenue, Hillside, was charged at 2:50 p.m. Nov. 18 with battery at YMCA, 211 W. First St. Three juveniles were charged at the same time and date with battery at the same location.

Burglary

A black leather purse containing an Illinois State ID card and a debit card reportedly was stolen between 4:45 and 5:03 p.m. Nov. 19 from a parked vehicle at YMCA, 211 W. First St. The front passenger window reportedly was broken out.

Disorderly conduct

D'Angelo Monte Norton, 28, of the 20200 block of Finley Street, Clinton Township, Mich., was charged at 3:49 p.m. Nov. 16 with disorderly conduct at Wendy's, 956 N. York St.

Drug paraphernalia possession

Jonathan Gilbert, 31, of the 1200 block of South 17th Avenue, Maywood, was charged at 12:02 a.m. Nov. 20 with possession of drug parpahernalia, illegal transportation of open alcohol and improper lane use at North Avenue and York Road.

DUI

• Camilo Rosas-Flores, 22, of the 300 block of North Harvard Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 4:41 a.m. Nov. 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol and violation of bail bond order in the 600 block of West St. Charles Road.

• Inocente Blas-Martinez, 46, of the 3000 block of Ruth Street, Franklin Park, was charged at 11:33 p.m. Nov. 21 with DUI of alcohol and improper lane use at Grand Avenue and County Line Road.

Harassment

An incident involving text harassment was reported at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 19 in the 100 block of Hale Street.

Identity theft

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 10:49 a.m. Nov. 16 in the 200 block of West Claremont Street.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 12:24 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 800 block of South Cadwell Avenue.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 2:08 p.m. Nov. 18 in the 200 block of West Crescent Avenue.

An incident of identity theft was reported at 9 a.m. Nov. 11 in the 800 block of Hillcrest Avenue.

Lost property

• A driver's license reportedly was lost between midnight Oct. 23 and midnight Nov. 8 in the 600 block of North Willow Street.

• The license plate of a vehicle was reported as having been lost in about November 2016 at 9:31 a.m. Nov. 17 in the 200 block of West Grandview Street. It reportedly had been used in a theft in Normal.

• A wallet reportedly was lost between 5 and 10 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 700 block of South Hawthorne Avenue.

Marijuana possession

• Antonio Marrero, 19, of the 3700 block of 53rd Court, Cicero, was charged at 12:11 a.m. Nov. 16 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, tinted windows and operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device at York Road and Grand Avenue.

• Daniel Griffith, 20, of the 500 block of Erie Street, Maywood, was charged at 10:12 p.m. Nov. 16 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave.

• Lionel Gage, 34, of the 5600 block of South Emerald Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 2:32 a.m. Nov. 19 with unlawful possession of marijuana in the 300 block of South Fair Avenue. Rakia Kemp, 33, of the 3200 block of West Madison Street, Chicago, was charged at the same time and date with illegal transportation of alcohol at the same location.

• Steven Gulo, 38, of the 600 block of North Kenilworth Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 9:51 a.m. Nov. 20 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt at York Road and Crestview Avenue.

• Sarah Eckel, 21, of the 9200 block of Park Place, Orland Hills, was charged at 8:21 p.m. Nov. 21 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue.

• Alexander Finnegan, 20, of the 1100 block of Bradbury Circle, Carol Stream, and Alexandria Schultz, 19, of the 800 block of Sara Court, Elk Grove Village, were charged at 9:09 p.m. Nov. 21 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

• Amir Jones, 18, of the 200 block of South 11th Avenue, Maywood, was charged at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 21 with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to wear a seat belt at North and Melrose avenues. A juvenile was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana and violation of curfew at the same location. A second juvenile was charged at the same time and date with violation of curfew at the same location.

Property damage

A scratch on the rear passenger side door of an Elmhurst Police Department squad vehicle was reported at 7:15 a.m. Nov. 10 at the Elmhurst Police Department, 125 E. First St.

Suspicious person

A suspicious person was reported at 7:01 a.m. Nov. 18 in the 100 block of West Adams Street.

Theft

• An attempted theft by deception through the use of a counterfeit $100 bill was reported at 8:10 p.m. Nov. 16 at Jimmy John's, 694 W. North Ave.

• An incident involving attempted theft by deception was reported at noon Nov. 20 in the 400 block of Holly Avenue.

• Chinasty Burton, 22, of the 5200 block of South Loomis Boulevard, Chicago, was charged at 9:22 p.m. Nov. 16 with retail theft at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave.

• James Lange, 35, of tthe 3700 block of South Giles Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 11:05 p.m. Nov. 17 with retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. Telly Haymond, 41, of the 5500 block of West Congress Parkway, Chicago, was charged at 10:41 p.m. Nov. 17 with possession of drug paraphernalia at the same location.

• A carton of cigarettes reportedly was stolen at 11:05 a.m. Nov. 19 at Corner Cottage Liquors, 526 W. North Ave.

• A juvenile was charged at 12:06 a.m. Nov. 20 with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, obstructing identification and no valid driver's license at Thornton's, 476 N. York St. A second juvenile was charged at the same time and date with trespass to a motor vehicle and violation of curfew at the same location. A third juvenile was charged at the same time and date with violation of curfew at the same location.

• Leticia Cazares, 49, of the 300 block of North Poplar Avenue, Wood Dale, was charged at 11:10 p.m. Nov. 20 with misdemeanor retail theft at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.

Traffic violation

• Courtney Young, 38, of the 200 block of East First Street, East Dundee, was charged at 2:57 a.m. Nov. 16 with driving while license suspended and expired registration at Lake and Walnut streets.

• Jorge Hurtado-Munoz, 39, of the 6100 block of South Mozart Street, Chicago, was charged at 4:39 a.m. Nov. 16 with aggravated driving while license revoked and speeding at North Avenue and Walnut Street.

• Adam Maynard Rowell, 34, of the 200 block of East Van Buren Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 3:35 p.m. Nov. 16 with expired license plates and driving while license suspended at St. Charles Road and Holly Avenue.

• Freddy Mitra-Perez, 28, of the 3500 block of Cermak Road, Chicago, was charged at 1:44 a.m. Nov. 17 with speeding and no driver's license at North Avenue and Willow Road.

• Eddie Basez, 27, of the 1500 block of North Lawndale Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 9:50 a.m. Nov. 17 with aggravated driving while license suspended, improper use of registration, no valid registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at North Avenue and Route 83.

• Nanci Ocampo, 19, of the zero to 100 block of East Lincoln Avenue, Glendale Heights, was charged at 12:01 a.m. Nov. 18 with no rear registration plate light and driving while license suspended at Marion Street and Kenilworth Avenue.

• Gary Conners, 28, of the 100 block of North Parkside Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 12:25 a.m. Nov. 18 with speeding, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at North Avenue and Willow Road.
