School board could decide on referendum question in December
DOWNERS GROVE – The Downers Grove community appears receptive to Community High School District 99's proposed capital improvement plan.
Sixty-one percent of those surveyed were in favor of the district's full capital improvement plan while 28 percent were opposed. Thirty-two percent responded to the proposal with a "definite yes," said Jlll Browning, the district's communications director. Twenty percent of respondents offered a "definite no" when asked about the full plan.
"The 'yes' is above 30 percent, so that's good," Superintendent Hank Thiele said. "It shows the community is generally in support."
Asked about the partial plan, 64 percent were in support and 29 percent were opposed, the results stated. Thirty-three percent responded with a "definite yes," and 15 percent offered a "definite no" to the plan.
