Innovation DuPage to occupy current planning space, part of former Police Department
GLEN ELLYN – After much debate, Glen Ellyn village trustees on Nov. 13 approved a 10-year license agreement with the College of DuPage to fill the space in the Civic Center left by the Glen Ellyn Police Department's move to its new station at 65 S. Park Blvd.
Since early 2017, the village and COD have been exploring opportunities to use the space in the Civic Center for two separate new business functions, including COD’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation DuPage, a new business incubator and accelerator concept led by the college through an emerging partnership with Choose DuPage and Naperville-based Rev3.
Trustees and Village President Diane McGinley voted 4-2 to approve a license agreement and memorandum of understanding with COD. Voting "no" were trustees Pete Ladesic and Gary Fasules.
