Police Reports: Elmhurst for Nov. 17

Information in Police Reports is obtained from the Elmhurst Police Department. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

Battery

• Juan Galindo, 40, of the 1500 block of Robin Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged at 12:03 p.m. Nov. 8 with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and aggravated battery on a public way at Butterfield Road and Princeton Court.

• Dawn E. Conway, 45, of the 800 block of Chatham Avenue, Addison, was charged at 6:04 p.m. Nov. 2 with domestic battery at Pizza Palace, 117 Addison Ave.

• Jacquelin C. Perez, 27, of the 200 block of East Fremont Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 7:01 a.m. Nov. 3 with domestic battery in the 200 block of East Fremont Avenue.

Attempted burglary

• A lock on a white Ford E350 truck reportedly was punched between 3 p.m. Nov. 4 and 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at Life Touch, 461 W. Fullerton Ave. Nothing appeared to be missing.

• An attempted residential burglary reportedly occurred between 12:01 a.m. Nov. 2 and 10 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 300 block of Huntington Lane. The front door jam reportedly was damaged. There were no signs of entry or items missing from the home.

• An attempted residential burglary reportedly occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 6:35 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 200 block of East St. Charles Road. Multiple lights had been turned on, and the front door frame reportedly was broken. Nothing appeared to be missing.

• An attempted residential burglary reportedly occurred between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 200 block of Monterey Avenue. Forced entry reportedly had been made to a side door of the residence.

Burglary

• A leather wallet reportedly was stolen at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 31 from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of North York Road.

• Property reportedly was stolen between 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and 7:45 a.m. Nov. 3 from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of North Oak Street.

• An envelope containing cash reportedly was stolen between 4:45 and 5:12 p.m. Nov. 3 from a residence in the 200 block of North Michigan Street.

Controlled substance possession

Javier Delgado, 21, of the 100 block of North 13th Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged at 4:51 a.m. Nov. 1 with possession of a controlled substance, improper lighting, no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at North and Maple avenues.

Drug paraphernalia possession

Davonte D. Warmack, 22, of the 1000 block of Briarbrook Drive, Wheaton, was charged at 10:59 a.m. Oct. 31 with possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and driving while license suspended on Route 83 between Interstate 290 and Lake Street.

DUI

• Tania Marin, 28, of the 300 block of Englewood Avenue, Bellwood, was charged at 1:48 a.m. Nov. 1 with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to use headlights when required, improper lane use and no insurance at North and West avenues.

• Lucas Villarreal, 36, of the 900 block of South Fairfield Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 12:05 a.m. Nov. 3 with DUI of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Spring Road and Madison Street.

• Robert D. Elliot, 64, of the 1300 block of East Bailey Road, Naperville, was charged at 6:25 a.m. Nov. 3 with DUI of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 700 block of West North Avenue.

• Alvaro Tolayo, 46, of the 2300 block of North Kostner Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 10:43 p.m. Nov. 4 with aggravated DUI of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper parking on the roadway at York and Second streets.

• Jeri L. Cruz, 60, of the 2600 block of North Elm Street, River Grove, was charged at 7:56 a.m. Nov. 5 with DUI of drugs and possession of a controlled substance at York and Butterfield roads.

• Calvin A. Walls Jr., 28, of the 2400 block of South 13th Avenue, Broadview, was charged at 5:01 a.m. Nov. 6 with DUI of drugs and failure to wear a seat belt at Grand Avenue and Wilson Street.

Harassment

An incident involving telephone harassment was reported at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 3 in the 300 block of South Prairie Avenue.

Lost property

• A wallet reportedly was lost between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 3 after being dropped in the 900 block of South Mitchell Avenue.

• A driver's license, credit card and cash reportedly were lost between 6 and 6:45 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 800 block of Fulton Street in Chicago.

Marijuana possession

• Torious R. McCalebb, 21, of the 5700 block of St. Charles Road, Berkeley, was charged at 9:19 a.m. Oct. 30 with unlawful possession of marijuana and driving while using an electronic device at York Road and Diversey Avenue.

• Jada Winston, 19, of the 1600 block of North Merrimac Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 12:08 a.m. Oct. 31 with unlawful possession of marijuana and no seat belt at North and Melrose avenues.

• Bradley J. Smith, 24, of the 200 block of North Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 4:47 p.m. Oct. 31 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Third Street and Glade Avenue.

• Victoria Julie Stankiewicz, 21, of the 500 block of North Lancers Drive, Addison, was charged at 8:14 a.m. Nov. 3 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disobeying a traffic control device at North and Glade avenues.

• James Uhrich, 21, of the 900 block of Stoddard Avenue, Wheaton, was charged at 2:29 p.m. Nov. 3 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

• Joshua Murray, 19, of the 2100 block of Prescott Drive, Bartlett, and Alexander Krieman, 19, of the 1500 block of Longmeadow Lane, Bartlett, were charged at 10:33 p.m. Nov. 3 with unlawful possession of marijuana at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

• Maleeka Culley, 21, of the 7200 block of South Wood Street, Chicago, was charged at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 4 with unlawful possession of marijuana in the 200 block of North York Road.

• Jerry Johnson, 32, of the 4000 block of West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, was charged at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 5 with unlawful possession of marijuana and improper lane use at York Road and I-290.

• Felix Ocampo, 24, of the 2200 block of North 78th Avenue, Elmwood Park, was charged at 11:15 p.m. Nov. 5 with unlawful possession of marijauna, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and no insurance at North Avenue and York Road.

• Martin Lopez, 19, of the 3900 block of Sandpiper Drive, Hanover Park, was charged at 8:50 p.m. Nov. 7 with felony unlawful possession of marijuana at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. John Portillo, 20, of the 300 block of West Army Trail Road, Addison, and Misael Morales-Reynoso, 19, of the 1600 block of Ardmore Avenue, Glendale Heights, were charged at the same time and date with felony unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the same location.

Property damage

• Graffiti reportedly was marked between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Oct. 16 on the west concrete wall of the underpass at St. Charles Road and the Salt Creek bike path.

• The driver's side mirror of a vehicle was reported at 2:40 p.m. Nov. 5 as having been damaged the previous night in the 300 block of East Adams Street.

Public intoxication

Michael T. Delaney, 29, of the 1000 block of South Addison Street, Bensenville, was charged at 4:46 a.m. Nov. 5 with public intoxication in front of Fred's Place, 544 W. Lake St.

Theft

• Charles E. Dear, 48, of the 5600 block of St. Charles Road, Berkeley, was charged at 12:22 p.m. Oct. 30 with theft at Jewel-Osco, 153 E. Schiller St.

• A Sony SRS-XS speaker reportedly was stolen between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31 from the front porch of a residence in the 500 block of South Fern Avenue.

• Toatesha Jackson, 25, of the 1500 block of South Ridgeway Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 12:29 a.m. Nov. 3 with retail theft, one head light, no front plate and no insurance at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St. Eric Stokes, 25, of the 4600 block of West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, and Jamar Lynch, 27, of the 5100 block of West Wabansia Avenue, Chicago, were charged at the same time and date with felony retail theft at the same location. Jakyra Jackson, 25, of the 22W000block of Prairie Green Court, Glen Ellyn, was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.

• A wallet reportedly was stolen between 9 and 10 a.m. Nov. 5 from a locked locker at XSport Fitness Express, 621 W. North Ave.

• Cash reportedly was stolen between 7:40 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 6 from a backpack in the boy's locker room at York Community High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road.

• A vehicle was reported stolen at 1:27 p.m. Oct. 31 from Honda on Grand, 300 W. Grand Ave.

Traffic violations

Sean Widener, 21, of the 100 block of North Willow Road, Elmhurst, was charged at 7:43 a.m. Nov. 2 with driving without a required breath alcohol ignition interlock device, aggravated driving while license suspended and expired registration at York Street and North Avenue.

Warrant arrest

• Mahmoud Mahmoud, 22, of the 3100 block of North Page Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Oct. 27 on a warrant out of Dallas County, Texas, at Extended Stay of America, 550 W. Grand Ave. Kassondra Johnson, 23 of the 6700 block of North Olympia Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at the same time and date on a warrant out of River Forest at the same location.

• Kwynta Roberts, 21, of the 6600 block of West Belden Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. Nov. 4 on a warrant out of DuPage County and a warrant out of Will County and charged with impeding traffic, no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Route 83 and North Avenue.

• Alex Struve, 19, of the 500 block of South Clarence Avenue, Oak Park, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. Nov. 5 on a warrant from the Lombard Police Department at Extended Stay of America, 550 W. Grand Ave.

• Vincent Virgilio, 53, of the 100 block of Gerry Stevens Court, Bensenville, was arrested at 10:11 a.m. Nov. 5 on a warrant out of DuPage County at Extended Stay of America, 550 W. Grand Ave.

• Christopher Diederich, 42, of the 400 block of West Alma Avenue, Elmhurst, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 5 on a warrant out of DuPage County and charged with tinted windows, no proof of insurance and driving while license suspended at Spring and St. Charles roads.
