He had a difficult time connecting with his favorite target, too. Talbert, blanketed by St. Laurence's coverage, had just one catch for five yards until Hinsdale South's last drive.
"They were kind of triangulating him with a man under and a man over. In essence, they almost had three guys on him, so it was tough," Hinsdale South coach Mike Barry said. "[Talbert] is a trooper. He was struggling with some knee pain this week and was able to come out and give his team his best."
