Dessert options include the fried Oreos, which have been a menu staple since the start. Beignet-battered Oreos are fried and then plated around a scoop of vanilla ice cream bedded on cookie dust. A drizzle of chocolate finishes the dish. A favorite of mine is the vanilla crème brulee, which uses vanilla-infused custard as a base and a caramelized layer of sugar on top. Both desserts are easily shared and make for a decadent ending.
Bakersfield’s menu is careful to list gluten free (GF), vegetarian (V), vegan (VG) or paleo (P) next to each menu item as it applies. It’s these little touches, plus extraordinarily fresh food components, well-executed service and an expansive menu, that will keep you returning. Just like the neighbors on the block, Bakersfield is elegant, classy and luxurious. Lunch or dinner, inside or out, you’ll ride in style with each visit.
