BERWYN – A man reportedly hijacked an SUV from a woman Oct. 16 while she was putting her children inside the vehicle, according to the Berwyn Police Department.

Berwyn police responded to the report of an aggravated vehicular hijacking at 8:32 a.m. in the 7000 block of 26th Parkway.

The suspect reportedly approached the victim, grabbed her by the arm and reached into his pocket as if to imply he had some type of weapon, although no weapon was displayed, police said in a Facebook post. He then took her vehicle, which is a black Hyundai Tucson with license plate number R345992.

The offender is described as a black man in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 9 inches in height and weighing about 140 pounds, with black hair, light brown eyes with long lashes and a pock-marked face, the post stated. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and a gray hooded sweatshirt, and he had a dark five o’clock shadow.

Anyone with information should contact the Berwyn Police Department at 708-795-2164.
