A man connected with a string of bank robberies in the area is being sought in the Sept. 26 robbery of a bank near Glen Ellyn.
The man at 5:55 p.m. Sept. 26 allegedly robbed the Chase Bank at 22W151 Butterfield Road near Glen Ellyn, the FBI announced. The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s to 30s with a small build.
He also is a suspect in bank robberies at 1:20 p.m. Sept. 26 at Fifth Third Bank, 1801 Algonquin Road, Rolling Meadows; Sept. 23 at U.S. Bank, 13521 S. Route 59, Plainfield; Sept. 20 at TCF Bank, 2128 Mannheim Road, Westchester, and Sept. 18 at TCF Bank, 1156 Maple Ave., Lisle.
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the FBI.
