HARVARD – A Harvard man is dead following an incident where he allegedly climbed out a truck while he was driving.
Joshua M. Trepanier, 21, of Harvard, was pronounced dead at 10:07 p.m. Saturday. Harvard fire and police officials found his body on Crowley Road, about 500 feet west of Harvard Hills Road, according to a news release from the McHenry County Coroner.
Harvard Fire and Rescue and Harvard Police responded to the scene following a 9:35 p.m. 911 call. Trepanier had been driving a small truck, with two passengers when he reportedly tried to exit the vehicle while it was moving to get into the truck bed. He then fell on the road and sustained fatal injuries, according to the coroner.
The passengers weren’t injured. The coroner will perform an autopsy Tuesday to determine what specific injures caused his death and to run a toxicology report.
The incident is under investigation by the Harvard Police Department and the coroners office. McHenry County Police Accident Investigation Unit were also called to assist.
