ELMHURST – For the second year in a row and the third time in five years, Elmhurst Hospital has finished as the runner-up in Soliant Health’s Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. contest, according to a hospital news release.
More than 50 hospitals were nominated for Most Beautiful consideration. Soliant Health’s list of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. was determined during a month-long online voting period, the release stated.
Elmhurst Hospital received 12,700 votes, according to the release. The winning hospital, Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y., had 13,539 votes.
"This building’s stylish, unintimidating looks have more in-common with a contemporary hotel than most medical facilities. Built from the ground up to incorporate the latest trends in healthcare design, our 2017 runner-up is enjoying its 6th year on our list (it was also the runner-up in 2013 and 2016)," the Soliant website stated about Elmhurst Hospital.
Elmhurst Hospital also finished fifth in 2012, 16th in 2014 and eighth in 2015, the release stated.
Soliant Health is a leading provider of specialized health care staffing services to hospitals and health care providers, according to the release.
