WOODSTOCK — A Hanover Park man was charged Thursday with armed robbery, unlawful restraint and mob action in connection with a robbery that took place early Wednesday in Woodstock, police say.

According to a news release from the Woodstock Police Department, Brian Odell, 39, of the 4700 block of Zeppelin Dr., Hanover Park, was arrested Thursday afternoon at his Hanover Park residence by members of the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force. Investigators had identified Odell as one of the suspects responsible for an armed robbery that took place Wednesday at a residence in the 200 block of Throop Street in Woodstock.

When asked if other arrests in connection with the armed robbery would be made, Woodstock Deputy Police Chief Jeffrey Parsons said, "We're still trying to firm up some things. We're sure there are other people involved."

Woodstock police are continuing to follow up on leads regarding the crime, and anyone with related information should call NERCOM at 815-363-2152.

Odell is currently being held on $200,000 bond in McHenry County jail. He was due in court Friday morning.
