DOWNERS GROVE – Opening night for the 25th annual Summer Nights Classic Car Show in downtown Downers Grove will be May 19.

The show will run from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday from May 19 through Aug. 25. There will be no show on June 23 because of Rotary GroveFest.

An array of classic cars will line the streets for attendees to enjoy the display. All classic cars are welcome on Main Street from Maple Avenue to Franklin Street. The featured cars will be parked on Curtiss Street.

Featured cars must be pre-1985, and a trophy will be awarded to the best featured car each week. The featured cars vary weekly, and a schedule can be found at downtowndg.org.

Live entertainment will be provided from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Main Street Train Station.

Organizers have issued a friendly reminder of the rules that show participants are expected to follow:

• No car show parking allowed until 5 p.m.

• Do not block the sidewalks or business entrances.

• No coolers allowed on the sidewalk.

• Reserving spaces is not allowed.

• No excessive acceleration, loud speakers or open exhaust.

Visitors can find parking in the surrounding parking lots as well as the parking deck at 945 Curtiss St. The parking deck is free on Fridays after 3 p.m.
