ELMHURST – Excited families and well-dressed dogs will show their holiday spirit at the Elmhurst Park District's annual Egg Hunt and Doggie EGGstravaganza on April 15, according to a news release from the Elmhurst Park District.

The hunt itself begins promptly at 10 a.m., with even more eggs than previous years. The Easter Bunny will be on-hand for more holiday fun and photo opportunities.

Immediately following the collection, the four-legged friends of those in attendance will get to strut their stuff on the figurative dog fashion runway with the Doggie EGGstravaganza at 10:30 a.m. Dogs in costumes will compete for a variety of prizes, including Best Doggie Costume, Best Dressed, Most Creative and Owner Look-Alike. All pets are invited to join the festivity's pet parade or get their own Easter Bunny picture taken.

Both events are free with no pre-registration required.
